Fly upstream. Reach 1982.

Upstream '82 is a river shooter that travels backwards through time. Start in the present day with a stealth jet, drones, and neon lasers, and fight your way upstream through 44 years of gaming history: HD, early 3D, 16-bit, 8-bit... all the way back to 1982, where it all began.

  • Six eras, and the whole world changes with each one: your plane, the enemies, the graphics, even the engine sound
  • Close Call system: fly dangerously near enemies and riverbanks to build a score multiplier
  • Manage your fuel, blast bridges, and survive gunboats, jets, and drones

Made by a 50-year-old gamer remaking the first game he ever played

Controls: Arrows to steer and change speed, Space to fire.
